Description

Genuine Bosch 3 Bar T-MAP (Temperature Manifold Air Pressure) Sensor with CNC Machined Aluminium Weld-on Boss & 4-pin Connector Kit.

This T-MAP combines a 3 Bar MAP sensor and an intake air temperature sensor all into one compact unit.

Suitable for turbocharged or supercharged engines running up to 2 Bar (29 PSI) of boost pressure.

The sensor comes with an aluminium weld-on boss which can be welded to an intake manifold (plenum). The composite sensor body resists heat soak allowing the sensor to be mounted directly in the plenum without adversely effecting the IAT measurement . Ideally, the sensor should be mounted on the top face of the plenum which reduces the risk of condensation accumulating on the sensor as well as radiant heat transfer from the cylinder head. This sensor is particularly well suited for custom intake manifolds that have no provision for a MAP sensor but can also be welded to a factory intake manifold if needed.

Pinout:

Pin 1  =  Ground

Pin 2  = IAT Signal

Pin 3  = 5v Power Supply

Pin 4 = MAP Signal

Calibration:

MAP sensor linear calibration – 0.5V = 27Kpa absolute, 4.5v = 289Kpa absolute (maximum is 4.83V = 327Kpa)

Intake air temperature sensor = select ‘Bosch NTC’ calibration on Link G4 and G4 ECUs

Note: We always recommend entering metric calibrations (pressure in kPa) into Link ECU’s which is required when transmitting data over CAN bus to external devices (dashes etc.). Even when entering sensor data into the ECU with metric units, data can still be displayed in PCLink either in metric or imperial as desired by the user (using the ‘U’ hot-key in PCLink). Likewise most dashes can be set up to display a range of units even if they are receiving data over CAN in metric units.
