Hi everyone. I’m from Portugal and tuning is my hobby. The two sport cars I have are an Alfa Romeo GTV 2.0 V6 Turbo and the S13 CA18DET. Both have the Link ECU installed. I bought both at NZEFI (Walter) and one thing I can say: they know a lot of tuning, they are always available to help us and they are doing a good job… they are great guys.

I would like to just say thank you for the good job you have done on my car. It pulls well and is a pleasure to drive. Please can you thank all the staff involved and tell them Good Job !!!! I will definitely refer more people your way.

What’s the best thing you can say about any engine management solution? FORGET IT!!!!
I’m in a race car bouncing through terrain so violent that at times my brain starts to shut down and my vision, simply put… stalls. I’ve had fits of vomiting due to dust inhalation, had arm pump (unable to steer due to feed back from the steering wheel), broken fingers, had frost nip (destroyed the nerve endings in fingers and thumbs) fractured an ankle and broke two ribs. All within the confines of a very sturdy spaceframe roll structure. Offroad Racing is without a doubt the hardest testing ground devised, EVER. My only companion on my attempts to break components (including driver appendages) is an encased Link G4 Xtreme. And what a brilliant job it does. It never complains about the cold, never moans about the mud, and doesn’t get flustered on hot days with an overheated twin turbo V6 breathing down its neck. It brilliantly manages the very technical Cosworth/Nissan installation, the dual VVT, dual throttle bodies, dual turbos, all temps, all pressures. In fact it manages the engine so well I’ve let it deal with the Albins Sequential Transaxle as well.
NZEFI’s tuning and the Link G4 Xtreme is a combination that is hard to beat. I’ve proven it, taking the 2008 ORANZ National Series overall win. We rolled out of the 2009 Series only to come back with a dominating performance at the ORANZ National Finals and claim NZ2. 2010 the new Cosworth powerplant proved unreliable, the G4 logs showing we had oil control issues, but still taking a 1st in class 1 in the ORANZ Nelson Ruff and Tuff. 2011 the team concentrated on a new American car and international racing. The sole NZ event we entered, the Twizel 250, we dominated with two destroyed rear tyres still taking the overall win. The Link G4 Xtreme has been there through all of it and I can honestly say, never, ever missed a single plug fire, a single injection of fuel. It makes a fantastic co-dog, dealing with the functions that I simply am too busy to manage. NZEFI not only tuned it perfectly develop a huge spread of torque but also to monitor all temps and pressures for potential mechanical/electrical/sensor fault . And when it does detect a fault it switches to a “limp home” map and advises me of the fault. It manages all the above without me flicking a single switch, without me plugging in a laptop, without me taking a single action. For me it’s the best state for any Engine Management to be in… simply… FORGET IT… and go race.
