Warranty and Disclaimer

Goods are warranted free from defective workmanship and material provided that the goods are not modified in any way.

Warranty on goods containing electronic components will only be granted in cases where NZEFI can reasonably prove that the failure is due to a manufacturing or material fault and not due to incorrect installation of the product, abuse of the product or lack of maintenance.

Many parts sold by NZEFI are intended for off-road use only. There are obvious risks involved with racing and performance modifications which are at the own risk of the customer.

NO WARRANTY APPLIES IF PARTS FAIL BECAUSE OF INCORRECT INSTALLATION, USER ABUSE AND/OR LACK OF MAINTENANCE.

Products on this website may not be street legal, check with your local authority (LVV certifier /  W.O.F agent) before purchasing.

 

Payment

Payment in full is required prior to the dispatch of goods. For goods which are not carried in stock and are ‘special order’ items, NZEFI may request either a deposit or pre-payment in full before ordering the goods.

Payment in full is also required before returning a vehicle to the customer in the case where services have been performed on that vehicle by NZEFI. NZEFI reserves the right to request progress payment(s) for services performed on or being performed on any vehicle at any stage. Should a requested progress payment not be received within the agreed time period, any further work on that vehicle will be stopped immediately.

 

Delivery

Goods will not be consigned to courier depots. Uplift by the Buyer or the Buyer’s agent constitutes delivery to the Buyer. Delivery is at the Buyer’s risk and expense in all cases.

All consignments will be made by carrier of NZEFI choosing or at NZEFI’s discretion and always at the Buyer’s cost unless stated otherwise. NZEFI will not be liable for any loss suffered by the Buyer due to failure of, or delays in delivery.

While NZEFI strives to ensure that pricing and information on our website is accurate, we reserve the right to amend delivery charges at any time. In cases where the volume or mass of a delivery exceeds our expectations or when special requirements such as rural delivery are requested, NZEFI reserves the right to request extra amounts to cover delivery costs. NZEFI makes no attempt to profit from delivery charges and wishes to only to recover a fair proportion of the costs associated with delivery of goods to our customers.

 

New Zealand Orders

NZEFI uses the services of New Zealand Couriers for deliveries within NZ. NZEFI endeavours to process and ship web orders within the same day providing the order and payment is received by 3pm on weekdays. However, same day shipping is less likely for large orders or orders consisting of  products made in-house.

Orders to metropolitan areas have an overnight delivery target with the exception of Fridays, where the delivery target is the following Monday. If a ‘Saturday Delivery’ service is required, please contact us with your order and we will inform you of the extra charge for this service and whether Saturday delivery is available for your address.

Orders to rural (i.e. non-metropolitan) areas have a 2-3 weekday delivery target. The correct ‘rural address’ shipping option must be selected at the checkout when placing website orders as this option covers the cost of the extra rural delivery ticket that is required. To determine whether your delivery address is considered as ‘rural’ by NZ Couriers, please refer to the following NZ Couriers Address Checker:

Note that many addresses that NZ Couriers deem as ‘rural’ are not necessarily classified by the New Zealand postal system as ‘RD’ addresses. Therefore, the only reliable method to check the address is by using the aforementioned NZ Couriers Address Checker tool.

Delivery addresses must be a valid physical address. NZ Couriers do NOT deliver to P.O. Boxes.

 

International Orders

NZEFI can accept international orders. No NZ Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 15% applies to international orders. For countries that we commonly send orders to, international shipping costs are calculated at the ‘Shopping Cart’ on our website by clicking ‘Calculate Shipping’ and entering the country of residence. For all other countries, NZEFI will contact the customer with regards to specific delivery costs for international orders.

Shipping costs quoted exclude any import taxes, duty or charges that may be payable in your country. NZEFI are unfortunately unable to inform customers of these taxes or charges. For costs involving customs and handling fees and local taxes in your specific country, please contact your local customs/import office for further information.

While Paypal provides a fast and convenient method for making international payments, it is also possible to make payment for orders via international bank telegraphic transfer (‘wire transfer’). It is common practice for both banks (i.e. the sender’s and receiver’s bank) to charge a service fee for processing telegraphic transfers. When making payment, it is important that both bank fees are paid for by the sender of the funds. Orders are only shipped once the telegraphic transfer clears in full. Processing times for telegraphic transfers typically take up to 3 working days.

Declared order values for customs purposes will be equal to the price paid (in NZD) for the goods as per the order confirmation. Invoice values will NOT be marked down without a legitimate reason for doing so.

Delivery addresses for all website orders must be a valid physical address unless prior arrangement has been made with us. DHL does NOT deliver to P.O. Boxes or to overseas military mail (APO/FPO/DPO) addresses under any circumstances. Shipping to a P.O. Box is possible via the NZ Post ‘Air Post’ or ‘International Economy Courier’ shipping options, but to selected countries only and deliveries cannot be signed for. Please contact us prior to placing your order to confirm that delivery to a PO Box is available in your country. While NZ Post ‘Air Post’ and ‘International Economy Courier’ services do ship to APO/FPO/DPO addresses, NZEFI do not recommend this as any tracking and insurance ends at the point that it is handed over to the APO/FPO/DPO. Therefore, orders shipped to APO/FPO/DPO addresses are shipped at the risk of the purchaser.

 

Product Listing and Pricing

Prices displayed on our internet website or in any catalogue are subject to change at any time.

All prices listed on this website are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST of 15%

NZEFI strives to ensure that all item descriptions, pricing, images, compatibility references,  specifications and any other product-related information listed or referenced on our website is correct and accurate. Due to occasional human error and other factors, we cannot guarantee that all item information including descriptions, pictures and pricing or any other product-related information listed is entirely accurate, complete or current, nor can we assume responsibility for these errors. In the event that a product listed on our website is listed with an incorrect price due to some typographical, informational, technical or other error, NZEFI shall at its sole discretion have the right to refuse and/or cancel any order for said product and correct and/or remove the inaccurate information. Additionally, all hyperlinks to other websites from NZEFI provided as resources to customers looking for additional information and/or professional opinion. NZEFI does not assume responsibility for the claims and/or representations made on these or any other websites.

 

Stock Availability

NZEFI endeavours to ensure that the availability status of any item on our website is accurate and current. In the case of any discrepancy with regards to stock availability, NZEFI will attempt to advise the customer without delay of any out-of-stocks, delivery delays, back orders or cancellation of an order. NZEFI will obtain the customers approval if the customers wishes to keep an item on backorder or if you wish to cancel your order.

 

Returns / Damaged Goods

Please inspect goods thoroughly upon arrival and contact NZEFI to report any damages or incorrect goods within 48 hours.  No goods will be accepted for return without prior contact and authorisation in writing by NZEFI staff.

Refunds for changes of mind are at our discretion and if approved, restocking fees may apply. Freight charges are not refundable. Goods (including packaging) must be returned in a saleable condition and with a copy of the invoice.

No returns on special order items.

 

Site Access

When you visit our website, we give you a limited licence to access and use our information for personal use.

You are permitted to download a copy of the information on this website to your computer for your personal use only provided that you do not delete or change any copyright symbol, trade mark or other proprietary notice. Your use of our content in any other way infringes our intellectual property rights.

Except as permitted under the Copyright Act 1962, you are not permitted to copy, reproduce, republish, distribute or display any of the information (including all text, photographs, video and other forms of media) on this website without our prior written permission.

The licence to access and use the information on our website does not include the right to use any data mining robots or other extraction tools. The licence also does not permit you to metatag or mirror our website without our prior written permission. We reserve the right to serve you with notice if we become aware of your metatag or mirroring of our website.

 

Alterations to the Terms and Conditions

NZEFI reserves the right to amend or replace entirely these terms and conditions, without notice, at any time. Posting the new or amended terms and conditions on the NZEFI internet website is notice to all Buyer’s of the changes contained therein.
